What’s this? Why, it’s the debut EP from Swedish artist John Lundvik – released on the week that he prepares to introduce himself to the rest of the world via representing his country at the Eurovision Song Contest. This is ‘My Turn’.
What’s on it? His Eurovision entry ‘Too Late For Love’, of course. Plus, last year’s Melodifestivalen finalist ‘My Turn’, and three brand-new tracks.
Ooooh what are the new songs like? All very different from each other. ‘Loving You’ sounds like it could have been Margaret’s next Melodifestivalen entry, ‘Sucker For Ya’ is an up-tempo, rousing, retro-soul jam, and ‘Say I Do’ is the soppy ballad we were all expecting to be on here.
What’s the best song? They’re all pretty excellent, actually, what with him being a dab hand at the ol’ songwriting lark. But our personal fave (of the new ones at least) is ‘Loving You’. It sounds like his next big hit.
You can find ‘Loving You’ on our Best New Pop playlist.
