Who? A 17-year-old artist from Denmark has just arrived with her debut single. This is Lydia – and ‘Slow Clap’.
What’s it like? The best debut single we’ve heard in a while. Utterly infectious, right from the end of the first chorus onwards. And all delivered with the sass of a popstar who sounds like she’s been doing it for years.
Does it actually sample the ‘Macarena’? We can’t quite tell. It *might* just be subtle enough for them to get away with it. But it’s on-the-nose!
