‘Twas the final Sommarkrysset of the year on Saturday night. We went along to bid farewell, and to see the artists in the line up that interested us. Mohombi was there giving a performance of ‘Bumpy Ride’, which has since lodged itself in the Swedish iTunes top 10. It was a cracking show (aside from the technical error at the start) and made us like the track even more. Although the dancing was absolute FILTH! Also intriguing us in the line up was Tove Styrke. Everyone has been raving about her debut single ‘Million Pieces’, but we’re yet to fall in love with it. In fact, we don’t even like it yet. So we were hoping that the song would finally click with us after seeing her perform it live. It didn’t. But you can watch it below anyway, as we know we’re in the minority on this one! Also performing on the night were Chanee & N’Evergreen – the Danish entry to this year’s Eurovision Song Contest with one of our favourites, ‘In A Moment Like This’. And it was lovely to see them perform it live again after seeing it lots of times when we were in Oslo for Eurovision week.
Finally, Swedish rocker Brolle was also in attendance on the bill. We’re not a fan of his music, but BOY were we awakened to him when he took to the stage! Before, in pictures, we’d always thought that he had an unfortunate Michael Keaton as Beetlejuice quality to him. But in person he’s actually incredibly hot! He just oozes sex appeal, doesn’t he? Or are we in the minority on that one too?! Perhaps it’s the tattoos. Or the swagger. Or the confidence bordering on arrogance. Or maybe the arms! Phew! The former Mr Elin Lanto certainly has a new fan anyway.
