Who? 20-year-old writer and producer Alexander Weitman from Stockholm in Sweden. But he wants us to call him Alex Weit for the purposes of his pop career.
And what pop career is this? He’s just gone and released his debut single. An instantly likeable pop tune which dabbles a bit in funk and disco and manages to sound great at both. The shimmering production is an absolute joy to listen to.
What does Alex say? “The vocals tell a story of two people that really fancy each other, but one of them is scared of love. So they cancel their first date and, instead, they both stay home, fantasising about what could have been if things would have played out differently.”
