New single? Kind of. Swedish duo TOPIA (hej, Patricia och Karl!) have gone and taken one of their older songs, given a swish new production, and re-released it. ‘Bonds’.
What’s it like? It simultaneously fills the void left in our lives from the likes of Alphabeat and Le Kid, and also the void left in our lives from those upbeat songs that used to serve as theme tunes to American teen movies in the late 90s and early 00s.
That’s a lot of void to fill! Well ‘Bonds’ is a whole lot of song! And it does it very nicely. Perfectly produced, joyous pop music.
