Danish artist Bryan Rice has been releasing tunes for well over a decade now. But in 2017 he’s still evidently having the time of his life playing around with his sound, and mixing up his craft. That comes in the form of his latest EP ‘Bryan PR.2’, which was released at the end of last month. It arrives a few months after its predecessor ‘Bryan PT.1‘.
And the difference between the two?
Well he’s basically taken the songs from part 1, and given each of them a brand new makeover – either bringing in a producer to give them a full remix, or bringing in another artist to either duet with him or feature on the song in hand. It’s an interesting concept, and one that has actually worked really well for him in this case. Whereas we found the first release of the EP just that little bit too underwhelming to ever get into, we’ve found the second release much more enjoyable as a body of work. It’s an eclectic mix of songs, and in each new version we’ve found that the added element has elevated the song to a new level.
‘Bryan PT.2’ showcases bundles of creativity in its relatively short running time. And it’s the part 2 of his sound that he’s revealed, that we hope Bryan Rice carries with him into 2018.
