We’re so pleased to have this artist back. Well – not that she’s ever been away really. Since we last heard from her as a singer, she’s still managed to grace these pages as the writer of one of THE best songs of 2017 – Clean Bandit and Zara Larsson’s ‘Symphony’. But now Ina Wroldsen returns as an artist in her own right. She’s just signed to Syco in the UK, and ‘Strongest’ is the first single. Reminiscent in sound to the Christmas number 1 she penned last year, ‘Rockabye’. And actually the lyrics could well be from the same perspective – though this time channeled towards the distant partner, rather than about the Mother and child. ‘Strongest’ deserves to be just as huge as the his Ina has been making for other people recently.
Today she releases a remix of the single by her fellow Norwegian superstar Alan Walker, which you can listen to below.
You can find ‘Strongest’ (original version) on our Best New Pop playlist.
