Hello everyone!
Right, we’ve decided to launch a forum where we, and all you readers can chat about all of the great Scandinavian pop music there is out there.
Scandinavian pop music seems to be more popular than ever, and is getting more and more respect and acknowledgement amongst pop fans. There also seems to be more of it than ever too, with new artists (scandi)popping up all the time!
On top of this, we’ve also been happy to discover that this very website is getting more popular too. We now have almost three times as many unique daily visitors than we did this time last year. And the articles that we post receive a lot more comments under them too. And so that’s why we wanted to start the forum – it can be a place online for fans of this niche type of music, to be able to discuss said music with other fans, and to discover new music and artists that you perhaps hadn’t known about before. The great thing about forums is that they can often be even more informative than their parent site. So if the scandipop forum takes off, you’ll be able to find out about a lot more music on there, than you will from just reading this main website, as there will obviously be a lot more contributors on the forum than on here.
But of course, a forum is only as good as its members. And a forum can only really become good, if enough people join and start discussions going. We imagine that it’s quite easy for a new forum to die on its arse! If not enough people take the plunge and start posting, then it can never grow. So we really really hope that you will sign up, and start chatting. Even if you find yourself one of the first people on there.
There’s only really one rule – and that’s to not share any music illegally, or post links to illegal downloads. But that’s a pretty self explanatory rule.
