Here’s quite an exciting new artist that’s just sprung up from Gothenburg! It’s Be The Bear (the alias of songwriter and producer Christina Wehage), and more specifically her debut single ‘Erupt’. Comparisons are being made by her team with Björk. And while that may sound like a tall order, we actually think it’s quite accurate. If anything, we’d say any lack of truth to that comparison is more down to the fact that we WISH Björk still made songs as good as this. So yes, early Björk – back when she was a lot more listenable and palatable. ‘Erupt’ is a perfectly crafted synthpop ballad with a touch of the melancholia, and a dash of the epic. Get acquainted;
