Well, here’s a nice surprise. After a ten year absense, Page are returning with a brand new album. The Swedish electro outfit first formed in 1980 and released their first record in 1983, building up a cult following throughout the 80’s and 90’s until they disbanded in 2000. Ok, so a lot of you will probably have no idea who Page are – but it’s fair to say that most ears should prick up when we say that one half of the duo (along with Eddie Bengtsson) is none other than Miss Marina Schiptjenko of BWO! Since the band are on a break, she’s channeling her creativity through Page, and we have to say that they’re sounding a little bit marvellous! We were sent the new album this week and have given it a quick listen, but we’d like to listen to it a couple more times before we do a full review on here.
In the meantime though, you can listen to their new single ‘Ett SOS’ on their myspace page. It’s a synthpop number that despite its moody and downbeat vibe, still sounds effortlessly jovial!
