On Saturday night’s Så Mycket Bättre (the first episode of series 7), the assembled cast all had a go presenting their covers of the songs of Swedish music legend Tommy Nilsson. Jill Johnson picked the trump card – his most popular and well known song ‘Öppna Din Dörr’. Though instead of a straight cover, she performed an English language version of the track. Her emotional delivery of a the stark ballad was QUITE the stunner. AND it struck a real chord with viewers. It’s been number 1 on Spotify Sweden since its release on Saturday, and in that time it’s already gone on to clock up over 600,000 streams.
