The most recent winner of Swedish Idol has released his later single over the weekend. Following on from ‘Can’t Hold Me Down’ and ‘Bricks’, he releases ‘Golden’. It’s a country flavoured folk ballad with a hugely healthy amount of “HEY” chants throughout. And it’s just a fact that any country or folk number is instantly made so much better with the inclusion of a “HEY” (or fifty, in this case). If you’re a fan of Martin’s fellow Swedish artists Smith & Thell, you’ll find a lot to love here too. ‘Golden’ was written by Martin himself, along with Jimmy Jansson, Palle Hammarlund, Samuel Waermo, and Sharon Vaughn
