Who is FREJA? A 27 year old Danish singer and songwriter who has just released her first single under her new artist moniker. Well – she’s merely dropped her surname. But still, it’s a fresh start for her. Here’s ‘Young Heart’.
What does Scandipop say? It’s one of those modern day songs that is so inspired by the 80s, it actually sounds like it was recorded and released in the 80s. It’s the most deliciously OTT homage to that era since Midnight Boy sashayed onto THAT Melodifestivalen stage back in February.
What does FREJA say? Speaking to The Fader – “It’s a song about falling for someone you know you shouldn’t, or cannot have. It’s a song about trying to control your emotions, and the frustration about not knowing what to do”.
