Anna Abreuuuuu! After last year’s ‘V’ album (so called because it was the 5th of her career), Anna Abreu returned to pop today with the release of a brand new single and video. ‘Bandana’.
Is it about her love of 90s head fashions? We don’t know – it’s all in Finnish. But it does rhyme ‘bandana’ with ‘waka waka’ in the chorus, so that’s something!
And what’s the song like? Screw your abilities (or lack thereof) to understand the complexities of the Finnish language – ‘Bandana’ is a jam and a half with a brilliantly catchy chorus. Its melody transcends the old fashioned restraints of language, and reaches out to touch you on a Global scale. WAKA WAKA!
And there’s a video too? In which she’s never looked more the definition of a popstar. Granted, nothing will ever beat the lesbian nunnery shenanigans of her ‘Stereo’ video, but she can’t dine out on that (ew – gross) forever!…
