She’s competing in this weekend’s heat of the contest to represent Iceland at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. Readers of this site will know that she released two brilliant schlager anthems in 2009; ‘Someday’ and ‘My Heart’. And also that she’s gone to Eurovision twice for Iceland as a backing singer; for Euroband in 2008, and for Yohanna in 2009. We had very high hopes when it was announced last year that she was to compete as a soloist for Iceland this year, but even we didn’t dare hope or dream that the song ‘Je Ne Sais Quoi’ would be this AMAZING!
It’s schlager music that sounds like dance music, it’s got a key change, it’s anthemic, it’s dreamy, IT HAS A STUTTERED VOCAL OF THE TITLE NEAR THE END, and it’s GOT to win this competition and go to Eurovision for Iceland. Listen to it here
