Who are these lot? This is Andrew & Sun Owl. AKA Anders Nilsson and Sanna Ohlgren. And their debut single ‘Stop Waiting For Luck’. They’re so new, they haven’t even had their picture taken together yet!
And who are they? Andrew is a producer and musician who has most recently worked on Blänk’s ‘Tears Run Dry’. Sun Owl has previously released some tunes which you can listen to on Spotify. They formed a duo because they though their voices blended very well together. And they were right.
What do they say? “Humbly we’d like think of this song as a neon dressed lovechild between Vangelis’ “Chariots Of Fire” and a Nintendo 8-BIT game, with the mindset of a running Tom Cruise hero, set in an 80’s Michael J. Fox feel-good comedy”.
What does Scandipop say? Yeah….that. We do love a chugging electropop production – and this one is much brighter and more upbeat than the usual Nordic ice anthems (which we also love). It’s a pretty exciting debut and we’re ears to the ground to hear what they come out with next.
