Nu Zhala? Robyn’s protégé, and the first signing to her Konichiwa Records label, is back again with new single ‘Aerobic Lambada’. The song got its premiere yesterday on P3 radio in Sweden.
That’s some title. And the song lives up to it. Naturally. A cosmic rave-up in a neon-lit warehouse in the sky. ‘Aerobic Lambada’ is the point at the end of the night when you’re basically stilettos and broken bottles, spinnin’ around in circles. With Zhala playing the role of the voice in your head telling you stay a little bit longer.
Wouldn’t it be amazing if Robyn signed up a mini-Robyn. An A*Robyn, if you will. That would be awesome. And will probably happen one day. But in the meantime we’ve got Zhala, and we like having her here.
