Earlier in the year when Linnea Henriksson released her new album, her label and her launched a competition into which good folk could enter by recording their own version of Linnea’s single ‘Halmstad’. The winner has now been chosen and two weeks ago the single got a release on Spotify.
The winning version was that of Klara Andén – who turned in a ballad version of the song. And quite a dark n’ stark ballad at that. The most striking element though, and the only reason we felt compelled enough to write something about it, is her absolutely phenomenal voice. What a vocal that girl has on her! It’s a stunner. And ‘Halmstad’ blatantly won’t be the last time we hear anything from her. We’re also left wondering how we haven’t heard of her before now too….
