Reuniting with the lady who helped him deliver THE biggest smash of 2014 in Sweden, ‘Din Soldat’, Albin and Kristin Amparo are on the scrounge for another monster hit. And they may well have it in new single ‘Vilken Jävla Smäll’.
People are either going to like the familiar sonic traits that they recognise in ‘Vilken Jävla Smäll’ after loving ‘Din Soldat’, or they’ll be just plain cynical over just how similar the two songs sound. Personally though, we’re on the more positive side of that outlook. We’re hearing another infectiously upbeat and jovial JAM – and the sound of a new-ish artist easing into his pop style. We’re also glad he’s roped in Amparo too – the vocals on that one!
What a tremendous year Albin has had. Why, it even beats his 2013 when he first graced these pages with ‘Även Om’, and subsequently ended up at number 16 in our Top 50 Hottest Guys in Scandinavian Pop Music 2013 list!
‘Vilken Jävla Smäll’ is a suitably rapturous way for him to finish off the year though. And we’re looking forward to hearing what 2015 has in mind for him.
