Following on from the ‘Opening Act’ album that she released earlier this year, Swedish singer Beldina has already completed a brand new EP to be released next month – ‘Intermission’. What a grafter! And today we get the first single from it – ‘Ocean’.
It’s hard to say what the bigger star on this track is – Beldina’s always sit-up-and-take-a-listen vocals, or the intriguing, almost hypnotic production. It’s a bit more subtle than the in-your-face amazingnessness of the likes of ‘What Can I Say’, ‘Pillow Fight’ or ‘Here We Go’. This one wows in a different way. But it’s no less of a gem in Beldina’s already glistening repertoire.
Says Beldina on the track – “‘Ocean’ is a dark and twisted song but contains a confident message. Leaving everything you know behind can be scary but you shouldn’t be afraid to dive into your own destiny. So whatever is out there for me – I am coming to get it.”
No word yet on the date in November that we’ll get ‘Intermission’, but if you’ve not yet familiarised yourself with ‘Opening Act’, you should do so.
