Well this was always gonna be essential. Swedish game changer Elliphant has recruited Danish trail blazer MØ on a brand new track for both of them. It’s ‘One More’ and you can listen to it below.
It’s surprisingly quite mainstream for the pair of them. It’s almost as if Elliphant has reigned in her OUT THERE sound out of courtesy to MØ, and MØ has compromised her quirkiness to fit in with this collaboration – and as a result, neither of them sound quite themselves. Personally we would have preferred both artists to bring their respective sonic MADNESS to the table, and let the two styles battle it out climaxing in an almighty audio explosion. But actually, the downbeat and keep-ourselves-in-check thing works quite well for the song. So in the end, we still got a top quality tune out of the collaboration.
Not the finest moment from either of them – but a clever lead single for Elliphant’s ‘One More’ EP which will come out in the US next month.
