Norwegian songstress Venke Knutson is back after quite the lengthy absence. She’s just released new single ‘Ta Meg Med’.
It’s her first flash of amazingnessness since she gave us ‘Jealous Cos I Love You’ at the 2010 Melodi Grand Prix. Mid-tempo radio pop that rises above its MOR beginnings with a catchy chorus that lends itself well to repeated listening. It’s not a big change in direction from her finer moments like ‘Holiday’, and thankfully so. Venke Knutson branded pleasantries. And that vocal of hers is as delicately sweet as ever too. She’s an underrated gem in the Norwegian pop scene. One we thought we’d lost for a while.

They’ve not made the song available to listen to on Spotify outside of Norway though. Must be so as not to thwart all those international licensing opportunities that this Norwegian language song is bound to generate…..
