We’ve written about this lady a couple of times before. This week though, she returned with the video for a new single – the latest to be lifted from her new, self-titled album. It’s Janna! And ‘Tytöt Lähtee Tanssimaan’.
This one’s a ballad. And a particularly stunning ballad at that. A combination of the atmospheric production, the underplayed melody, and the perfect vocal with which she delivers it, it’s such a beautiful listen. It took a couple of listens for us to appreciate the whole thing and make all of the above come together, but from then on in it’s all been very WOW. We don’t know if it’s a sad ballad or a happy ballad, what with it being in Finnish and all that, and therein lies the reason that we’re classing it as a heartache of a ballad – heartache over the fact that we can’t empathise with what’s going on.
It’s the lead single from her new ‘Janna’ album, which was released four weeks ago and has understandably been a massive success for her in her native Finland.
