Following on from her Melodifestivalen 2014 entry ‘Ta Mig’, Linda Bengtzing is back with a brand new single. It’s ‘Ingenting’, and it’s a continuation of the new sound that she flirted with on ‘Ta Mig’. More electronic, more grown-up, and more of a departure from the Linda B that we all fell for in the mid noughties.
That’s not to say that ‘Ingenting’ is without its merits though. It’s actually probably even better than ‘Ta Mig’, which we also quite liked a lot too thank you very much.
‘Ingenting’ is an electro ballad of sorts. One that veers off into its own world at times, but charmingly so. We guess that its biggest charm is its hugely sing-song, playful melody. You might not know what’s going on halfway through the song, but you WILL know that melody once the song is over. It’s a keeper.
The song is out now, and worldwide at that. Bravo girl.
You can listen to the studio version below via Spotify. And also watch the first live performance of it that she gave on Swedish TV on Saturday night. She also performed a melody of her Greatest Hits. And naturally that was amazing. For a mixture of right and wrong reasons. You can watch that here.
