That NINE piece Finnish girlband we wrote about earlier this year (here’s their debut single ‘Shopaholic’) have just returned with their second single and video. It’s ‘Wild Horses’.
It’s a *bit* of a letdown at first, as it doesn’t BANG in quite the same way you would expect that lot above you to bang. But a couple of listens in and it reveals itself to be pleasant enough pop song (what a soundbite, eh?!). It’s structured a bit funny. There’s verses, and a pre-chorus breakdown, and then a post-chorus breakdown. But no chorus. The absolute pack of mentalists.
As you would expect from a NINE piece Finnish girlband, the most dazzling part of the whole package is the bright and sparkly pop video. It’s got both girls night out AND girls night in vibes going on. And let’s face it – whichever way you’re inclined, the prospect of either a night out or a night in with nine girls is an attractive prospect. The GO9 crew certainly make it seem that way anyway.
‘Wild Horses’ is out now and has been released outside of Finland too.
