Norwegian electropop Goddess Bertine Zetlitz is back with some new music! Albeit as a featured artist and under a different guise – Laika. Quite why she’s thought the guise necessary isn’t clear though, as the music is very much the kind of music that fits in well with the rest of her repertoire. But whatevs. It matters not.
She’s the featured vocalist on the new single from Norwegian electronic duo Eik (Kristoffer Carlsen and Per Kåre Limmesand). The track ‘Beam Me Up’ is a funked up electro number that turns into a 90s house hybrid just in time for chorus. Bertine – sorry, Laika – sounds amazing on it, and also unmistakably Bertine Zetlitz. It’s not just the kind of electro track that you can appreciate on your own speakers, but also the kind of thing you could dance to with other people on club speakers. It is quite brill.
‘Beam Me Up’ is out now, and has been released outside of Norway too. It’s been produced by Fred Ball.
