The best new boyband of 2013 got marginally more amazing this morning when they unveiled their new song on YouTube (coupled with a new video of course – they’re always all about the vids, these chaps).
It’s a cover of ‘Freestyler’ by their Nordic neighbours Bomfunk MCs. Brilliant.
There’s not much more to say about it other than that it sounds like an exciting new boyband doing a very good cover of the Bomfunk MCs classic ‘Freestyler’. It stays very true to the original, which makes sense – not only because the original was a flawless jam, but because the late 90s are so ‘in’ right now musically anyway. So yeah. Good call all around.
The vid takes a step away from their usual flash mob mental fans thing, and instead sees them take over Stockholm by night. Some fantastic shots of Stockholm’s Slussen area. And you get to see them sing the famed chorus lyric “straight from the top of my dome” – from the top of an actual dome.
