We’ve given this new Swedish producer and remixer plenty of time on here in the twelve months since he first exploded onto the scene with ‘In The End’ – making no secret of our big big love for what he’s able to do with music. And with emotions.
And now today Orion releases his brand new single, ‘Love Like You’ve Never Been Hurt Before’. It’s another masterclass in giving you the happys and the sads at the same time. Mostly the sads if we’re honest. But with a tremendous amount of the hopes thrown in too. This is most definitely Orion’s thing. And as it stands right now in Swedish pop music or maybe even just pop music in general, we don’t think anyone is doing it better and more consistently.
The song was written by Orion himself, as always. Except now he has a new collaborator on board. And it’s none other than Jonas Qvant, who is the man behind a million (not quite a million) amazing songs from the likes of Hurts, Agnes, No Doubt, and Leona Lewis. And the great news is that these two are now in a full time partnership (of the musical kind), so we can expect some incredible new music to be coming out of Gothenburg over the next 12 months. Or business as usual, in other words. With Orion and Jonas though, Orion reveals to us that they have four more singles in the bag, and on the way.
Vocals on ‘Love Like You’ve Never Been Hurt Before’ are provided by up and coming vocalist Hedvig (whom Orion promises us is going to be bringing some pretty amaze stuff to the table herself).
