Do y’all remember that intensely ph’nom song we wrote about earlier this summer? ‘Miss U’ by The Neverdies. Shockingly good. It still does things to us. Well the Swedish group have now finally followed it up with new single ‘STHLM’.
Is it as good as ‘Miss U’? No, that wouldn’t have been possible. But it IS still really very good in its own blessed little right.
Similar to ‘Miss U’ in that it’s bouncy, upbeat, and catchy pop music dressed up as snarling and shouty rock music. That’s exactly what it is. The Neverdies chaps will hopefully be on board with what we’re trying to get at here, but ‘STHLM’ is basically good enough to have been released by a boyband. Or even a girlband. 21st Century Girls, going by that picture of them above.
We like The Neverdies brand of however it is they interpret what they themselves are going for, a hell of a lot.
‘STHLM’ is out now, and has been released outside of their native Sweden too.
