While Sweden gets ‘Sergels Torg‘, the Danes are getting a different comeback single from Veronica Maggio entirely. ‘Dallas’.
No explanation, no rhyme, no reason. But whatevs. It means that we get two new songs to listen to ahead of the impending new album. And when they’re of the standard that these two are, that’s just fine. ‘Sergels Torg’ is still the better of the two, mind. But ‘Dallas’ holds its own, as a cheeky and upbeat romp through a particularly 60’s flavoured edition of Veronica Maggio’s trademark retro ramblings. Psychedelia dances around her new incarnation as her own trio of backing singers.
Both ‘Dallas’ and ‘Sergels Torg’ are taken from Maggio’s new album released next month, ‘Handen I Fickan Fast Jag Bryr Mig’.
