Just for the fun of it, she’s gone and made her own video for one of her old singles!
‘Take My Body Close’ was released in Sweden in mid 2008. It was an instant favourite amongst fans of Velvet, and Scandinavian pop music in general, but the record label never made a video for it. Now, over a year after its release as a single, and six months after the album’s been released, Velvet has thought ‘sod it’ and given it what every good song deserves – a video treatment!
With it being a self funded after thought, it’s obviously on a very low budget! But that actually makes us love it even more. It’s Velvet mucking about with her friends, revisiting an older track of hers that she’s very proud of. She doesn’t use the radio edit, but instead her favourite of its remixes. It all takes place within a limo, has a pink and purple tint to it, and there are just as many shots of her legs and stilettos as there are of her face.
Brilliant!!!
