A new(ish) electro duo from Denmark. Inouwee are made up of Kaare Hansen and Signe Marike. They’re currently on their second EP, ‘Dark & White’, and it’s a song from there that’s made us sit up and pay attention. ‘Essence’.
‘Essence’ is the sort of song that pulls you in right away – thanks largely to its horror film soundtrack intro. It’s creepy and dramatic stuff – and sounds ace in an electropop context. That synth piece remains for the duration of the song, middle eight breakdown aside. Best bit though, is the “a-whoo-oooh, a-whoo-oooh” post chorus thing that they’ve got going on. But the whole song is bowling us over.
