What’s the second best news we’ve heard so far this week?
We’ll be able to own a brand new Amy Diamond album by the end of the year!
What’s the best news we’ve heard so far this week?
She’s gone even more electro!
Amy Diamond has unleashed a two minute clip of her brand new single, ‘Up’, onto her myspace and youtube pages. She’s also revealed that it’s from the album ‘Swings and Roundabouts’ (a title which we can’t help but notice sums up Amy herself – meaning something different to adults than it does to children!), which will be released on October 21st. Once again Amy doesn’t take a step wrong. Over five years, she’s consistently given us great pop music. And she hasn’t just delivered great singles either, we’ve always enjoyed her albums too (this will be her fourth). And all this from a girl who’s only just 17 years old. Granted, her input into this music has probably been minimal, but we’re talking about manufactured pop music here, and to have an act that can sustain a high level of quality over half a decade is impressive. It’s also great that her sound has moved on (not that it needed to) to a more dance orientated feel. The Alexander Bard penned ‘It’s My Life’ that she participated with in Melodifestivalen earlier this year, and ‘Up’ are hopefully an accurate indication of what we can expect from ‘Swings and Roundabouts’.
Here’s that awe inspiring performance again!!!
