MILOU are a new duo from Sweden, who have just come out with their debut single. It’s ‘High For You’ and it was released last week.
The song is a 90s flavoured urban pop ‘jam’. It’s the production that’s the biggest star here, as we’re not gonna lie – those vocals veer too closely into grating territory at times. But the production is a bizarre but ultimately lovable mixture of mid-tempo pop, disco, house, and soul. With the slightest of an r&b edge to it.
An interesting enough debut single for us to be left wanting more. And the fact that they have a respected team behind them and working for them, bodes well.
