Norwegian electropop songstress Maya Vik has today popped a brand new song of hers online. ‘Body Language’.
Not a cover of the Heidi Montag classic. But a sublime piece of music in any case. It’s down-tempo and dreamy electropop we’re dealing with here. The production (by Anand Chetty) is intricate and intense, and an absolute beauty. There’s a lot going on within it, and it’s one of those songs that you can totally lose yourself to. And this is all topped off by Maya’s purposefully fragile and breathy vocals.
It’s a work of pop art. Not one of those jump-up-and-catch-you affairs. More dive-in-and-consume.
