Erik Segerstedt has got himself a brand new single and video out today – ‘Hold On’.
It comes as he’s fresh off his stint on Let’s Dance, and it follows up his Melodifestivalen hit from February – ‘Hello, Goodbye’.
Like ‘Hello, Goodbye’, ”Hold On’ is another guitar driven and melodic track – although he’s decreased the tempo ever so slightly. Erik’s always been more at home peddling a MOR pop/rock sound – something he’s stayed true to since the beginnings of his career all those years ago, with the exception of his time within EMD of course. And incidentally, it’s impressive (and sensible) that each EMD member has forged a career within a different genre of pop music to each other, never trodding on each other’s toes sonically. Erik’s certainly mastered his side and style by now.
The video to the single, a live studio recording affair, was premiered today on Expressen’s website, and you can watch it below too.
