Danish singer Oh Land has this week released the first single to be taken from her much anticipated third album that’s due out later this year. ‘Renaissance Girls’
It’s an upbeat and jaunty pop number with a cheeky lyric and a “come along now, come come along” call to arms. Not too distant from what we heard and loved on her previous album. The production on this one has got an edgier kind of quirk to it though. An edginess that’s matched by the fact that her vocal on it is half rap, half singing.
The best part is the military-esque beat during the chorus, particularly at the end of each chorus when it’s broken down a tad.
The single was released on Tuesday. Only in Denmark as yet. But an international release is on its way apparently. And wherever you are in the world, you can listen to it right here.
