Robin Stjernberg is generously giving Scandipop readers an exclusive listen to one of his forthcoming releases. It’s the much anticipated SoundFactory remix of his current single, his Melodifestivalen winning, and his Eurovision threatening, ‘You’.
An already amazing song, plus Swedish pop’s most prolific and reliable remixer. SoundFactory turns ‘You’ into a dancepop gem that is going to sound fabulous if you are lucky enough to hear it on a dance floor this summer. He’s given it a new post-chorus, and a serotonin tingling middle eight which extends Robin’s glory note, before dropping the sound completely, and then bringing it all back with an almighty bang for that final chorus. Brilliant. That sort of stuff gets us going.
Also noteworthy are Mr SoundFactory’s excellent use of the “hey-ey…hey-ey….hey-ey-ey“‘s. LOVE those bits.
