Here’s the latest single from Maria Mena in her native Norway.
‘Fuck You’.
She’s taken a break from her love songs and her self help ballads, and has instead penned an up-tempo pop ode to cyber bullies, Twitter trolls, and computer cunts in general. She’s obviously quite peeved off at the lot of them, and absolutely reads them to filth on this track. Although of course she does it in a suitable Maria Mena fashion. A whispered “fuck” and an elongated and melodic “you-ou-ou-ou-ou-oooou“. It’s a bit of a ridiculous song really, but at the same time quite brill. We really like it and we like her even more for making it, and for releasing it as the first single off a new album.
At the moment it’s a Norwegian only release, but an international release and video is on its way. Cyber shits beware, she’s coming for you wherever you are in the world.
