Melodifestivalen 2013: An alternative result – which you decide!

melodifestivalen 2013 e1359036458177

WELL. This year’s Melodifestivalen final certainly won’t be going down in the annals of time as one of the classic years, will it? A couple of great songs, a couple of ok songs, and its fair share of unbearable tripe. There lies a few more chances of hope in the Andra Chansen round next week, but given Sweden’s voting form this year, we shan’t be putting too much faith into this.

All in all, it’s an underwhelming line-up. Inexcusably bad – not just when you compare it to previous years, but when you look at all of the decent songs this year that haven’t been given a pass to the final.

So, in an effort to lighten the #Melfest mood over the next few weeks in the run up to THAT final (*shudders*), we’ve put together an alternative Melodifestivalen final. And an alternative Andra Chansen round. And it’s you dear readers who will be voting in them.

We’ve took it upon ourselves to right the wrongs of the results of the last four weeks of heats. And there were a lot of wrongs so we’ve had to do a lot of righting. And what we’ve come up with is eight alternative finalists, and eight alternative andra chansers.

From right now, the voting is open for you to place your vote in our alternative andra chansen. Voting stays open until Friday morning, and then we’ll open up two new polls which will stay open for 48 hours, in which the song that has finished in 1st place will be pitted against the song in 4th place, and the song which finished in 2nd place against the song in 3rd place. So just like SVT’s Andra Chansen really, except with better songs.

So then on Sunday morning we’ll have two more finalists, and the vote for the final will open.

Are you still following?
