Next Wednesday sees the release of a remix EP for the new Shirley Clamp single, ‘Step By Step’.
It’ll feature the SoundFactory mixes for the song, plus the original version, and her cover of James Brown’s ‘I Feel Good’ that’s been used as the theme tune to her Weight Watchers advertising campaign in Sweden.
And today, Shirley is giving Scandipop readers a preview of the SoundFactory radio edit, ahead of its release next week.
But what does it *sound* like? Well, as you would expect from a remix courtesy of the damn good SoundFactory, he’s kitted it out in something a lot more appropriate for your 1am on a modern day (morning) dance floor. It’s gone from disco to dance, with a mere sequined shimmy, but mercifully keeping our Shirley’s vox intact. In short, it’s the living tits. And as you can see from the image above, that means that it’s well and truly alive.
