Alphabeat: ‘Show Me What Love Is’

Danish pop scamps Alphabeat last night gave the first TV performance of their new single, ‘Show Me What Love Is’.

It’s the latest pop frenzy to be taken from their ‘Express Non-Stop’ album. Deliciously 80s-tastic, as Alphabeat do so well.

Long time followers of this website, will know what we mean when we say that it was one of those amazing Danish arena performances. They always go so overboard with them whenever they have a televised event take place in an arena. The grander the better. And we love it – not only do we get an eye opening performance from some of our favourite acts, it’s also a joy to see pop music being held in such high regard there too. In the case of ‘Show Me What Love Is’, we get Stine transported to the stage during the first verse via an actual TRACTOR. And then once she gets to the stage it’s all neon band logos, shiny disco balls, and the most exuberant school prom feelingĀ emanatingĀ from a bunch of lovable late twenty to early thirty-somethings. On a big scale.

You can watch the performance below. Oh, and as some sort of bonus, below that you can also watch another TV performance they did recently – a medley of their own ‘Love Sea’ and Whitney Houston’s sound-a-like ‘How Will I Know’.

Folk from outside of Denmark can pick up the ‘Express Non-Stop’ album (highly recommended, FYI), which also contains the HITS ‘Vacation’ and ‘Love Sea’, from our online store here.
