Icelandic pop chap Daniel Oliver yesterday finally released his brand new single ‘DJ Blow My Speakers’ – his first to be released outside of his native Iceland. And to accompany it, he also put out the music video yesterday too. A busy day for the next big Pop Prince of the Nordics. And one that resulted in ‘DJ Blow My Speakers’ reaching number 1 on the Swedish iTunes electronic chart last night, and remaining there ever since.
It’s a live music video – filmed a few months back at the massive Stockholm Pride festival. He shared the bill with all of the Swedish pop greats that week, and followed it up the month after with his first gig in the UK – at the Voyage Voyage night in London. That London trip also saw him film a couple of interview segments for two UK television channels, Chart Show TV and Dance Nation TV. They’ve already been broadcast in the UK, but Chart Show TV will be having the online premiere of their Chart Show Chat with Daniel next week.
Now though, the video – the release of which yesterday was also the first time the new single was available to listen to in full online, after the preview of the track he released a few months back. Here’s a few more words about the song itself, from then.
No pun intended here, but honestly – play it so that it almost BLOWS YOUR SPEAKERS. It’s made for it.
The single is available on iTunes worldwide.
