Brand new Swedish girlband on the block, RAW, today premiered the video for their ace debut single, ‘U Sexy Wo-Ho’.
The song was released a couple of month back (more on that momentous event, here and here).
The video is basically how you would expect a video for a song such as this to look – mental. Here’s what the girls themselves tell us about it;
“Since we both have a long background of being dancers, we decided not to do the typical “dance video”, ’cause that’s probably what most people would expect from us. Instead we wanted to do a video that was not so serious and we wanted to have a lot of fun with it. Kind of a way to introduce ourselves, ’cause we’re both a lot of fun and can be really quirky sometimes (a lot đŸ˜‰ ). We also wanted to put the focus on the guys as being the “Sexy Wo-Ho’s” since most people – again – probably would expect something a little bit different”.
‘Tis clearly the dawning of a new generation of bonkers tunes from Swedish girlbands, what with both this and Stockholm Syndrome’s ‘Pretty Girl’ to dance to uncertain abandon to. Long may the trend reign. We’re marking the whole thing down as cross between Stockholm Syndrome meets Rebecca & Fiona meets Alina Devecerski.
