Sep, AKA Sepideh Vaziri, first found fame in Sweden on the 2008 season of Swedish Idol. ‘Galaxy’ is her first big single though, and what an almighty BANG she arrives with on Planet Pop!
‘Galaxy’ is an electropop ballad. It actually sounds a hell of a lot like Faye’s ‘Water Against The Rocks’ that came out earlier this year, both vocally and production wise (although Sep’s ‘Galaxy’ was actually recorded first, in 2011, despite only coming out now). And like ‘Water Against The Rocks’ it’s a stunner of a listen. Beautifully melodic and with an eerie electronica sound that enhances the hair-stand-on-end atmosphere of the song.
The video is quite a WOW moment too. And hooray for Sep – she’s released it worldwide, so it’s on iTunes NOW.
