Norwegian songstress Kate Havnevik is back with the second single off of her sophomore album ‘You’. This time around she’s releasing ‘Disobey’.
As with the previous single off the ‘You’ album, ‘Mouth 2 Mouth‘, ‘Disobey’ is produced by the infamous Mr Guy Sigsworth, who has of course already done great stuff for Björk, Madonna, and Alanis Morisette to name a few. We like this song a lot. Not least because it’s very good, but also because of the quite clever (and intentional?) juxtaposition of a militant, army drum beat in a song that speaks of disobeying the norm. It feels kinda naughty. And all set to a cracking rhythm too.
