Last night in Berlin, Loreen was given pride of place in the annual ZDF Willkommen New Year TV show, broadcast all over Germany. She performed at the massive outdoor event, bringing the nation right up to midnight and welcoming in the new year on their behalf.
She performed ‘Euphoria’, and her latest European single ‘My Heart Is Refusing Me’.
Aside from the obvious one, it was the grandest scale performance she’s done this year – the stage, the crowd, the SIXTEEN DANCERS (actually there might only have been fourteen – they kept moving and so we’re not sure we counted correctly). And it was immensely fitting that she welcomed the new year, since 2012, to most Scandipop and even Europop fans in general, was the year of Loreen and especially ‘Euphoria’.
