Agnes has got a brand new single out – a whole new version of ‘Got Me Good’ from her ‘Veritas’ album, which has been remixed by Swedish production supremo Bassflow.
Our favourite lady in pop music performed ‘Got Me Good’ for the first time on Saturday night, as part of the Hungerhjälpen gala (also performing ‘All I Want Is You‘ and ‘Release Me‘). The new version doesn’t stray too far away from the pop magic of the original, which is good. Instead, it just freshens the song up a tad, and adds a certain level of epic dreaminess to the whole thing. And as we all know by now, few people can pull off epic dreaminess in pop music like Agnes can.
The single serves as promo for her summer tour, and is also a stop-gap before the next era of her career which starts this autumn – when she’ll be appearing on the latest series of Så Mycket Bättre, and releasing (what we assume will be) amazing cover versions of other people’s songs each week.
The ‘Veritas’ album (which contains the original version of ‘Got Me Good’) is now available on CD from our online store, for under a tenner (as his the special edition of her previous album, ‘Dance Love Pop’).
As yet, the new version of ‘Got Me Good’ hasn’t been released outside of Sweden. However, you can watch the performance below, and listen to the 90 second preview of the new studio recording, that is streaming on the Swedish iTunes store here;
